Mumbai, Saturday, 19 July 2025 : With the beginning of Shravan, everyone is eager to welcome their beloved Bappa. As Ganeshotsav approaches, the number of villages in Konkan is also increasing. Thousands of Chakarmani who live in Mumbai, Pune, Thane and other cities for work are preparing to go to their villages for Ganpati. And in this context, a good news has come – 250 special trains will run for this year’s Ganeshotsav.

The Central Railway and Konkan Railway administration have taken a big decision in the backdrop of this year’s Ganeshotsav. Special trains will be run from Mumbai’s CSMT and LTT stations to Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi, Chiplun and Madgaon in Konkan. Not only that, but reservations for these trains will start from July 24, so it is advised that Chakarmani should start booking tickets without wasting time.

The schedule for the period during which these special trains will run has also been fixed. These trains will run between August 22 and September 10. Some trains will run daily, while others will be weekly. There will be 38 daily departures of unreserved MEMU trains between Diva-Chiplun, which will definitely be a big relief for the passengers.

Interestingly, the official notification of these trains has been announced by the Central Railway and has been approved by the Konkan Railway and the Railway Board. Therefore, this decision is now not just a discussion, but an actual action. As soon as this information was announced, it spread like wildfire on social media and smiles of joy bloomed on the faces of the Konkan people.

Special Ganpati trains will be run on different routes like CSMT-Sawantwadi, LTT-Madgaon, Pune-Ratnagiri. A total of 250 trains will run, and this facility is being made so that there is no excessive crowd during Ganpati and everyone can reach their village to have darshan of Bappa.

For the past few years, getting a train ticket during Ganpati was a big headache. All the tickets would get sold out within a few minutes and the passengers would face a lot of trouble. But with the launch of 250 trains this year, the chances of getting tickets are higher and the journey will also be a little more comfortable.

Therefore, everyone in Konkan should start preparing to welcome Bappa now. The railways have made good arrangements. Ticket bookings are starting from July 24, so don’t waste time and book your tickets early. This is the right time to reach on time for Bappa’s darshan!
